Frederick Charles Rickett was born in Hough ,the son of Richard and Annie Rickett.  The family were living at Blyth (near Rotherham) when he enlisted (at Retford).  He had served in 7th King Royal Rifles (R/17588) but was a L/Cpl  (92975) in 2/4th (London) Battalion, Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), when he was killed in action on 28 Aug 1918.  He was buried at Brondfay Farm Military Cemetary, near Albert.
